How to use 6-Benzylaminopurine
6-Benzylaminopurine (6-BA) is a synthetic cytokinin plant growth regulator. Its application needs to be scientifically proportioned according to the crop type, growth stage and target effect.
1. 6-BA concentration control: It is usually sprayed on the leaves, soaked in seeds or irrigated with roots at low concentrations (such as 5-50 mg/L). Excessive use may cause phytotoxicity. For example, 10-20 mg/L solution is often used for fruit and vegetable preservation. It can be diluted to 5-10 mg/L to promote fruit setting.
2. 6-BA application time: It is effective when used during the key growth period of the plant, such as the budding period (promoting bud differentiation), flowering period (increasing pollination rate), young fruit period (reducing fruit drop) and post-harvest preservation stage.
3. 6-BA mixed with other regulators: often combined with Gibberellic Acid (GA3), 1-Naphthyl Acetic Acid (NAA) and other regulators to enhance synergistic effects (such as flower and fruit preservation or delayed leaf senescence).
