INDOLE-3-BUTYRIC ACID (IBA) is a chemical substance. It is insoluble in water, with a solubility of 0.25g/L at 20°C. It is easily soluble in benzene and other organic solvents. Its vapor can form an explosive mixture with air, which can cause combustion and explosion when exposed to open flames and high heat. It can react with oxidants. Its vapor is heavier than air and can spread to a considerable distance at a low level. It will catch fire and burn back when exposed to a fire source.
INDOLE-3-BUTYRIC ACID (IBA) is a broad-spectrum indole plant growth regulator and a good rooting agent that can promote the rooting of cuttings of herbaceous and woody ornamental plants. It is commonly used for root-dipping transplanting of woody and herbaceous plants, which can accelerate root growth and increase the percentage of plant rooting. It can also be used for soaking and mixing plant seeds to improve germination rate and survival rate.
