Product Detail

The pure product is a white crystalline solid, soluble in ethanol, methanol, isopropanol, acetone, ethyl acetate and other polar organic solvents, and slightly soluble in non-polar organic solvents such as benzene and toluene. It is stable in aqueous solution when pH < 3.5, and releases ethylene by hydrolysis as pH increases. It is sensitive to ultraviolet light and stable below 75°C.

Ethephon is commonly used in 40% SL, which is a high-quality and efficient plant growth regulator that accelerates maturity, shedding, aging, promotes flowering, and regulates the sex transformation of some plants. Under certain conditions, ethephon can not only release ethylene itself, but also induce plants to produce ethylene.

How to use

Ethephon dilution: Ethephon is a concentrated liquid, which needs to be appropriately diluted according to different crops and purposes before use. Generally speaking, a concentration of 1000~2000 times can meet various requirements.

Ethephon drip irrigation, spray or splashing: the dosage per acre is generally 200~500 ml.

Ethephon operation time: Ethephon should be used in the morning or evening, so as to avoid the high temperature period and reduce damage to plants.

Characteristics

-Ethephon decomposes rapidly when it comes into contact with alkaline substances. It is forbidden to mix it with alkaline pesticides or dilute it with highly alkaline water.
-Ethephon is suitable for use in dry weather. If it rains, additional pesticides should be applied.
-Ethephon is highly acidic. Wear gloves and glasses when working. Clean the spray equipment immediately after the work is completed.
