To make the pineapple fruit big and sweet, it is necessary to comprehensively consider multiple factors such as variety selection, growth environment, and cultivation management.
The following are key technologies and precautions:

One: Variety selection
Choosing high sugar content and large fruit varieties is the basis

Two:Optimization of environmental conditions

1. Temperature
- Optimum growth temperature: 25~32℃, not less than 15℃ in winter, avoid frost (can be regulated by mulching or greenhouse).

2. Light
- 6~8 hours of sufficient light per day*, insufficient light will result in small fruits and low sweetness.

3. Soil
- Choose loose, breathable, well-drained slightly acidic soil (pH 5.0~6.0), avoid heavy clay or saline-alkali land.

Three: Key points of cultivation management

1. Seedling cultivation and planting
- Seedling selection: Use strong crown buds, sucker buds or tissue culture seedlings to avoid carrying diseases.
- Planting density: row spacing 80~100cm, plant spacing 30~50cm, about 1500~2000 plants per mu, ensure ventilation and light transmission.

2. Water and fertilizer management
- Water:
- Keep the soil moist during the growth period, but avoid waterlogging (easy to rot the roots);
- The fruit needs a lot of water during the expansion period, and control the water appropriately 15 days before maturity to increase the sugar content.
- Fertilization (key!):
- Base fertilizer: Apply 3~5 tons of decomposed organic fertilizer + 50kg of superphosphate per mu before planting.
- Topdressing:
- Growth: mainly nitrogen fertilizer (such as urea) to promote leaf growth;
- Flower bud differentiation period: increase phosphorus and potassium fertilizers (such as potassium dihydrogen phosphate) to promote flowering;
- Fruit expansion period: high potassium fertilizer (such as potassium sulfate) to increase sweetness and single fruit weight.
- Top fertilizer: Spray 0.2% boric acid + 0.3% potassium dihydrogen phosphate during fruit development to increase sweetness and prevent cracking.

3. Flowering and production control
- Artificial flower induction:
- When the plant grows to more than 30 leaves, use **ethephon (40% aqueous solution diluted 500 times)** to irrigate the heart to promote synchronous flowering.
- Fruit thinning: Keep one main fruit per plant, remove excess suckers and small fruits, and concentrate nutrients.

4. Disease and pest control
- Diseases: heart rot (can be prevented with mancozeb), black rot (control humidity).
- Pests: mealybugs (imidacloprid), mites (avermectin).
- Ecological prevention and control: Keep the park clean, remove diseased leaves in time, and avoid continuous cropping.

Four: Special techniques to increase sweetness
1. Increase the temperature difference between day and night:
- Keep high temperature during the day (30~35℃) and low temperature at night (15~20℃) during the ripening period to promote sugar accumulation.
2. Supplementary light to increase sweetness:
- In rainy weather, supplementary lights can be used to extend the lighting time.
3. Natural ripening:
- Harvest when 1/3 of the base of the fruit turns yellow. Overripeness will increase the acidity; if harvested in advance, post-ripening treatment is required.

Five:Harvesting and storage
- Harvesting standards: full eyes, the skin turns from green to yellow, and exudes fragrance.
- Storage: Store at room temperature with ventilation, avoid refrigeration (freeze easily below 10℃).

FAQ
Q: Why is the pineapple not sweet?
A: It may be due to insufficient light, excessive nitrogen fertilizer, early harvest or small temperature difference between day and night.
Q: What should I do if the fruit is small?
A: Check whether there is insufficient nutrition (supplement potassium fertilizer), too high planting density or root damage.

Through scientific management, the weight of a single pineapple fruit can reach 1.5~3kg, and the sugar content can reach 15~20°Bx or more.

Using Pinsoa Pineapple king, it's a plant growth regulator use for pineapple growing, can increase the weight of pineapples, enlarge the fruit, and achieve the best sweet-sour ratio.
