Precautions for using Forchlorfenuron in watermelon cultivation
Precautions for using Forchlorfenuron (CPPU / KT-30) in watermelon cultivation
1. Forchlorfenuron Concentration control
When the temperature is low, the concentration should be appropriately increased, and when the temperature is high, the concentration should be appropriately reduced. The concentration of melons with thick peels should be appropriately increased, and the concentration of melons with thin peels should be appropriately reduced.
2. Temperature control when use Forchlorfenuron
Avoid using during high temperature periods, and the liquid should be used as soon as it is prepared. It should not be used when the temperature is higher than 30℃ or
lower than 10℃, otherwise it will easily cause the watermelon to crack.
3. Do not spray Forchlorfenuron repeatedly
Whether the melons are blooming or not, you can spray them when you see the small melons; but the same melons cannot be sprayed repeatedly.
4. Forchlorfenuron Dilution concentration
The use temperature range and water dilution multiple of 0.1% CPPU 10 ml are as follows
1) Below 18C: 0.1% CPPU 10 ml dilute with 1-2kg of water
2) 18℃-24℃: 0.1% CPPU 10 ml dilute with 2-3kg of water
3) 25°℃-30C: 0.1% CPPU 10 ml dilute with 2.2-4kg of water
Note: The above refers to the average temperature of the day. After diluting with water, spray both sides evenly on the small melons, as shown in the picture.
