1. Promote seed germination: Gibberellic Acid GA3+6-Benzylaminopurine (6-BA)
After soaking magnolia seeds in a mixed solution of 400mg/L Gibberellic Acid and 200mg/L 6-Benzylaminopurine for 48h, stratification for 56d under a humidity of 50% and a temperature of 7~10℃ can effectively break magnolia dormancy and increase seed germination rate.

2. Promote rooting of cuttings: Naphthalene acetic acid or NAA-Na
Before cuttings, dip them in a solution of 500mg/L Naphthalene acetic acid or NAA-Na for 15s to promote rooting.

3. Promote rooting of layering: Naphthalene acetic acid or NAA-Na
Magnolia purple has many root suckers, which can be used for layering. Applying 50mg/L Naphthalene acetic acid or NAA-Na to the ring-barking area can shorten the seedling raising cycle.

4. Improve the survival rate: 1-Naphthyl Acetic Acid
When cutting white magnolia, cutting propagation in the north is preferably carried out in June and July. The survival rate of cuttings is high when the branches of young trees are grown in the same year. Cuttings are generally made on sand beds, shaded above, and sprayed with water every day for heat preservation. Generally, roots can be formed in 15-25 days. Soaking the base with 50mg/L1-Naphthyl Acetic Acid for 6 hours can improve the rooting rate.
