Application of plant growth regulator in sugarcane
In sugarcane fields planted for many years, the internodes of sugarcane are prone to shortening, quality decline, and yield reduction. This phenomenon is sometimes difficult to reverse even with the application of more chemical nitrogen fertilizers. The use of plant growth regulators can solve the above problems, not only significantly increase yield, but also greatly improve quality.
1. Promote sugarcane growth and increase sugar content
Gibberellic Acid GA3
Gibberellic Acid GA3 can regulate the physiological functions of sugarcane and improve the carbon-nitrogen ratio of the plant. Sugarcane that has been treated with Gibberellic Acid GA3 has significantly larger leaves, darker leaf color, larger leaf area, and increased leaf population density, which improves photosynthesis efficiency, accelerates sugarcane stem growth, and has a significant sugar-increasing effect.
According to the test of spraying Gibberellic Acid GA3 on sugarcane, the edible stems of sugarcane using gibberellic acid increased by 10-15cm, the plant height increased by more than 15%, the internodes increased by 18%-20%, and the yield increased by 15%-20%. According to the test, the sugar content of sugarcane increased by about 5% compared with the control.
Usage: Spray 25-30kg of Gibberellic Acid GA3 40-50mg/L solution per mu from the end of tillering to the beginning of jointing of sugarcane, and then spray once every 15 days, for a total of 2-3 times. Generally, for the first planting sugarcane fields with good fertility, spraying 1-2 times is enough; for the fields with poor fertility and long-term planting of sugarcane, spraying 3 times is appropriate.
2. Promote the growth of sugarcane stems and leaves
Gibberellic Acid GA3
Sugarcane can promote the growth of stems and leaves by using Gibberellic Acid GA3, but the increase in concentration does not increase the growth effect, so the concentration should be controlled.
Usage: Apply fertilizer once a week before spraying gibberellin, and the yield increase effect will be more significant. You can add 2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate to the Gibberellic Acid GA3 solution and spray the mixture, and apply nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium quick-acting fertilizers to the roots, paying special attention to the application of potassium fertilizer.
Brassinolide
Brassinolide has a significant effect on promoting sugarcane growth, increasing the number of effective stems per mu, increasing stem length, stem thickness, stem weight, and increasing sugarcane yield and sugar content.
Usage: Use 5000 times diluted Brassinolide to apply once in the sugarcane seedling stage, once in the elongation stage, and twice in the seedling stage + elongation stage. The yield of different treatments at different periods is significantly higher than that of the control treatment, increasing by 375kg, 283kg, and 525kg respectively, increasing by 7.7%, 5.8%, and 10.8%. The sucrose content increased significantly, and the yield of the treatment with two applications of Brassinolide was significantly higher than that of the treatment once in the elongation stage. Therefore, Brassinolide can be used on sugarcane 1 to 2 times, and the best time to use it is the seedling stage or the seedling stage + elongation stage.
3. Increase sugarcane yield and improve sugarcane quality
Sodium Nitrophenolates (Atonik)
Spraying 1.8% Sodium Nitrophenolates (Atonik) solution on sugarcane can activate cells, enhance cell activity and promote metabolism. When mixed with Gibberellic Acid GA3, they can promote each other and play a synergistic role, thereby increasing sugarcane yield and improving sugarcane quality.
Usage: Spray the sugarcane from the end of tillering to the beginning of jointing. When spraying Gibberellic Acid GA3, first prepare a Gibberellic Acid GA3 aqueous solution with a concentration of 40-50mg/L, then add 1.8% Sodium Nitrophenolates (Atonik) 5000 times the concentration into the Gibberellic Acid GA3 solution, stir evenly and spray. The number of spraying times can refer to the Gibberellic Acid GA3 usage technology.
For fields where plant growth regulators have been used, attention should be paid to field fertilizer and water management, which will help promote sugarcane elongation and increase sugar content.
