P-nitrophenol is an important organic compound, widely used in the production of fine chemicals such as pesticides, dyes, and medicines. The pure product is light yellow crystals. Melting point 114-116℃, boiling point 216℃, slightly soluble in water at room temperature (1.6%, 25℃), not easy to volatilize with steam. Soluble in ethanol, chloroform and ether. Soluble in alkali solution.
